“What a fantastic school! All 3 of my children have had an amazing start to their education with thanks to Woodhouse. A caring school, with fantastic staff and teachers. A real gem and asset to the local community!” – Jenny, Parent.

“Woodhouse is so nurturing caring and loving to all children . They put 100 percent into the kids and it really shows . The head teacher is phenomenal and the passion he puts into his school is infectious – I just love it!” – HG and RG’s Mom

“Woodhouse always go above and beyond in everything they do. Staff are warm, welcoming and genuinely caring. They pride themselves in making sure the children are not only achieving, but are happy there and enjoy going to school. My son started in Reception and will go into year 6 in September. I’ve never had a concern or complaint about anything relating to the school. My son has Autism and other medical conditions, all teachers and staff help and support him with his needs. The teachers and non teaching staff take their time to really get to know the children and their parent partnership is above excellence! I’m proud of what my son has achieved over the years and will genuinely miss him being apart of the Woodhouse community when he leaves. When Friends and family ask about his school, I’m always proud to talk about Woodhouse. I’ve recommended this school to everyone I know. You want the best of the best for your child- It’s Woodhouse! Exceptional SEND support – It’s Woodhouse! Teaching staff who care, not just about teaching but about your child – It’s Woodhouse!” – N. L. Hirst, Parent

“My daughter came to Woodhouse in year 2 and the transformation from then to year 6 is incredible. I will never be able to thank the teachers and support staff enough for the work and encouragement that has been given to my daughter. Because of this wonderful school she now heads off to secondary full of confidence and an amazing academic level that has been achieved by all involved in her school journey here. I am forever grateful and Woodhouse will always hold a very special place in our hearts!” – Parent of CC, Year 6 Child

“Both of my children have been at the school from nursery and have had an amazing school experience. I feel the school is a wider family and generally cares about each student. Children are able to build positive, trusting relationships with staff. Children are treated fairly and with respect which ensures children give respect back. I feel communication is and always has been on point with Woodhouse, constant updates and information easy to find and support is always available if needed. Throughout the pandemic the school were amazing with updates and offering support to all children and key workers. I feel the school goes above and beyond and will do what they can for children and families. I love the extra touches and thoughtfulness of the teachers, for example on dress up days there not being the pressure and ensuring lots of different options to ensure no child is felt left out. The steady progress my children have made at Woodhouse. Also, You can’t beat a headteacher that stands outside of school every day to greet children and families come rain or shine he is there, its the little things at Woodhouse that go a long way.” – Parent of a former child and a Y6 child.

“Woodhouse is not just a school its a community with a family feel. The staff are kind, caring and are very approachable. I have had a great experience at Woodhouse, my son is leaving for secondary school and my daughter is going into year4. I would highly recommend Woodhouse.” – Parent of Y6 and Y3 children

“The head teacher seems to know the name of every child. Every single member of staff is so approachable.” – Parent of Y3 and Y4 children.

“In the local area there are so many primary schools to chose from, I would urge those starting to think about primary for their child to consider Woodhouse Primary Academy. Our daughter has flourished, academically, socially and emotionally. She has loved all the opportunities from choir, PE and sport, trips to the theatre, Black Country living museum and the Yr 1 day trip to Weston-Super-Mare! She has found her way though these different opportunities to embrace her love of nature, you would think this difficult in a school with limited green and grass areas, but they have the wonderful access to Pitts Wood for forest school, the trim trail and due to this she has become part of Eco club and turning into a right little Eco Champion! The whole school has a friendly and warm environment, nurturing those with SEND and the more vulnerable whilst also achieving strong results at the end of Yr 6. There is a before and after school club run by in-house staff daily 7.30-6pm ideal for working parents.” – Parent with Daughter in Y2

“The staff really care about my children’s education, doing all they can to encourage them to be the best they can be, not only academically but also in terms of personal growth. The school work in synergy with parents, with a variety of support openly available for both parents and children. I feel listened to as a parent, with the school open to feedback and constantly striving to become better.” – Parent of Y3 and Y5 children.

“The whole Woodhouse team employs a very positive, open and friendly approach. I have always felt very welcome to speak to any staff member, ranging from the front desk to the class teachers to the head teacher, without feeling that I am imposing in any way. Our son has flourished academically and socially as a result of the positive reinforcement style (characterised by praise, recognition and fairness) employed at Woodhouse. We were understandably concerned about making the ‘right’ choice for our sons first school. However, we can honestly say that since the first day he started at Woodhouse, we have felt reassured and confident in our school choice. And after getting to know the school and the staff team over the past school year, our confidence has only been further reinforced.” – Parent of Reception Child.

“Woodhouse is very special in my opinion. Probably the biggest reason for that is the accessibility of staff, including the headmaster. Every single email gets a timely response, and it appears that nothing is too much for them. Even when there was a minor issue in school, my email was responded to almost instantly and passed on to the relevant member of staff. The issue was dealt with, and I was kept informed at all stages. It gives huge peace of mind that the children are the core focus of this school, rather than shareholders or a board of governors. I would recommend WPA to absolutely anybody, without caveat.” – Parent of Y4 child.

“I love the interaction the head and his team have with the children and parents. Mr Wilson takes the time to talk to and find out about each child and their abilities or hobbies. it makes my boys extremely happy to speak to the head teacher each morning on their way into school and tell him what they have been up too. He really takes an interest and I feel that’s really important for them. The school is just great, the staff are fantastic and I’m so pleased my boys have the chance to grow and learn with Woodhouse Primary Academy. It’s a very special place and my boys are very happy, safe and content at school.” – Parent of N, O and R

“Excellent headteacher and very helpful.” – Parent of Y5 Child.

“Woodhouse Primary Academy and Nursery is unrivalled in comparison to other schools in and around Quinton. It is amazing and exciting to observe how my children learn through play and access a variety of activities in school. The support that my children receive cannot be quantified. This includes guidance through access to a variety of activities around the environment, including access to the library and gaming facilities, to mention but a few. I have watched my child develop an extraordinary interest and skills in sports. Thanks to the managers and coordinators of the sports games that have made my daughter, K, a sports star. I like Mr. Wilson’s enthusiasm, dedication, and commitment to setting a good example in the school, making sure the school is clean, and giving my kids a warm welcome every day when they come to school in the morning. All of this contributes to my children’s excellent level of confidence after only 18 months of schooling at Woodhouse Primary and Nursery.” – Parent of K and A.

“The school has a clear strategy and great leadership meaning that as a parent I can really feel the staff at Woodhouse have a common purpose and goal. It is evident in the way the school managed the pandemic, the way teachers support children and more importantly through the feedback and sheer enjoyment my daughter has everyday when returning home from school! Simple things like being listened to, knowing the staff are doing above and beyond and watching my child’s development and learning soar are key indicators that Woodhouse is the best school for my child. Having experienced two children now at Woodhouse I have no hesitation in recommending this as a school for prospective future pupils.” – Parent of S, Y4.

“I like the positivity and enthusiasm of the staff and their willingness to help. The Children are well behaved and respectful to people in the school . I also love how lessons are taught and how the children all seem engaged and enthusiastic about what they are learning.” – Parent of E, Y5.

“Woodhouse and ALL its staff without exception go above and beyond for all children, academically, pastorally, holistically It is like a family. The teaching quality is excellent Having had 2 children through this school, one with SEND and one without i would have no hesitation in recommending woodhouse for any child’s educational journey to begin here.” – Parent of Y6 child.

“I moved my daughter to Woodhouse Primary Academy when she started Year 4 and that was the best decision for her. She came into school with a very low self esteem from the previous school. The staff helped her soo much and her transformation is really incredible. I am very grateful that we had this opportunity.” – Elena, Parent.

“Woodhouse is truly a special school where you feel like family and part of the wider community, the entire staff are wonderful and contribute to the spirit. My girls love going to school so the fact that they’re receiving a good education in a such a positive environment conducive to learning is really wholesome.” – Parent of Y6 and Y4 child.

“Treating each other fairly, making sure everyone participates. Helping others when they don’t know what to do, kind and caring. Getting a good education. Being funny, sharing with others.” – Ash, Parent.

“Good relationship with teachers. Feel informed and Head Teacher knows all the children. My child just loves going to school, he feels very happy and safe there.” – Laura, Parent of Y1 child.

“There are many things that make Woodhouse special, but for me the sporting provision is the best around. I have spoken with many parents of children in other schools and was surprised that many do not have specialist P.E. teachers. Woodhouse instills a love of sport among its pupils with a great balance of fun and healthy competition. Both my children (youngest now in Year 6) have had the opportunity to play and learn a multitude of sports, learned about the importance of teamwork and had the opportunity to represent the school in a vast amount of local competitions. I know that my children will have a lifelong love of sport and I will always be grateful to Woodhouse for providing them with this grounding and many happy memories.” – Hannah, Parent.

“Friendly, kind and caring staff ensure every child feels welcomed and at home at Woodhouse.” – Parent of Reception Child.

“Woodhouse is a very family orientated school. Its more like a community and that’s how the children and parents / carers of children are treated. Teachers are very approachable and deal with any concerns which may arise promptly from my experience. The staff are very friendly and care about the children’s education and i believe this is sue to the great leadership and approach Mr Wilson has as a head teacher. I would highly recommend Woodhouse to any local parents looking for a school to send their child to.” – Sadia, Parent.

“We moved to the area last year and my children joined halfway through the year and we have not looked back! As you can imagine my kids were a little nervous to say the least. The teachers were very welcoming that my kids settled in so well and made new friends straight away. The level of teaching is so much better that both of my kids have said that they have learnt more here than the last school. The head teacher and staff are great. They actually listen and care about your children. I highly recommend this school. You will not regret it.” – Parent of Y1 and Y5 children.

“It’s a great school, my son loves coming 5 days a week!” – Sally, Parent.
