Thank you for your contributions and feedback regarding our curriculum plans for RSE during our consultation period in 2021.  Following our final parent consultation in July 2021, our policy was finalised.

The RSE curriculum at Woodhouse:

At Woodhouse and within our trust, we will be using ‘Jigsaw’ in the main to deliver the curriculum. Jigsaw is a nationally produced scheme of work. You can access their parents and carers information by following the link below:

Jigsaw RSE Curriculum

Within the Jigsaw scheme in Summer Term 2 there are units of work entitled “Changing Me’. These units are largely around puberty and changes to the body. We have concluded that these particular units are not best matched to the children of Woodhouse. Therefore in place of the ‘Changing Me’ units of work we will be using an alternative called CWP, CWP introduces the correct anatomical names for body parts in a sensitive and staggered approach that we feel best meets the needs of our learners.
